Abstract
Copper carbonate is the compound formed by the combination of the metal copper, the nonmetal/polyatomic ion carbonate, and oxygen. This ionic compund has many different uses and properties. Copper carbonate is produced naturally but can also be manufactured. This unique blue/blue-green ionic compound can be made by combining sodium carbonate and copper (II) sulfate.
